Adventures in Weeding! (7/20)

Hello Friends!

This week I did not reference any obscure fables, so I consider that a win.  Ha!  This week’s Gospel reading was the parable of the wheat and the weeds.  The farmer chooses to wait until the crop is fully grown to pull the weeds, so that the wheat won’t be damaged.  In the end, the reapers come and divide up the plants.  But how can we tell the difference between weeds and wheat?  Well, the point is, often we can’t, and its not our job anyway.

Text: Matthew 13:24-30,36-43

Sermon – Proper 11 – Year A – July 20, 2014

Thanks for stopping by!

Mo. Lauren

PS- The organist sneezed during the sermon, so I say “bless you” at a random time.
