Adventures at Diocesan Convention!

Hello Friends,

Last week, Nov. 4-5, was the Diocese of Massachusetts’ Annual Convention.  It was the 231st convention for DioMass, but the first one for Kenny and myself as priests who just moved to the area. We met so many great folks (there were over 500 people there) and we mainly discussed the new Mission Strategy (you can read it here) and talked about peace and reconciliation in the wake of the brutal political season we have had.

I really enjoyed spending time with colleagues both lay and ordained, and I loved seeing our bishops and how they really get along well and work well together.  Bishop Gates’ address was really great and uplifting, you can watch the video by clicking here.  If you want other news/photos/articles, etc check out the DioMass website.

We are so happy to be in Massachusetts, a truly great and diverse Diocese filled with wonderful folks!

Now, on to our adventures (that is why you are here right?)

On day 1 we chose table 25, St. Luke, a very good saint. Kenny was nervous/excited about meeting new people!
